Greetings PHS family, today in weight training we continued our Plyometric Training Unit. We began our day with 2 laps on the track (cardiovascular endurance). Next, students performed our dynamic and static stretching routine focusing on stretching the quadriceps muscle. Today's workout focus was on the upper body. Students performed a series of exercises working their upper bodies and abdominal muscles. We ended our day with our cool down static stretches. Students, please remember that we will have our Plyometric Training unit post-test this Friday. Please remember to review all vocabulary words and notes in order to help prepare you for the test. Let's have another great day tomorrow.

Students performed a series of exercises working their lower bodies and abdominal muscles. Students please remember that we will have our Plyometric Training Post test on Friday 9/4/15. Please review all notes and vocabulary to help prepare you for the test. We ended our day with our cool down static stretches. Have a great Weekend.

Greetings PHS family, today in PE we began our Plyometric training unit. Students took their pre-test, wrote their personal 3 goals for the unit and we took notes on Plyometric training. Last, students performed a 1 mile timed run on the track. We ended our day with cool down static stretches. Let's have another great day tomorrow.

Greetings PHS family, today in PE students took their Circuit Training Post Test. Grades will be posted to synergy a week from today. After the test, students performed a 1 mile run on the track. Last, we performed our cool down static stretches to end the day. We will begin our Plyometric training unit on Monday. Students please remember to dress out everyday and to bring your interactive journals and #2 pencil on Monday. Have a great weekend!

We began our day with running 2 laps around the track (cardiovascular endurance). Next, we performed our dynamic and static stretching routine focusing on stretching our calf muscles. (muscular endurance, flexibility). Students performed well today during our high intensity workout. Students will continue to look at their Circuit Training data. This week we will continue to evaluate their workouts to make sure that they are progressing with each exercise. Students please remember that our first unit test will be tomorrow. Today students took their Circuit Training pre-test, followed by Circuit Training notes. Next, we began our Circuit Training workout routine. Students will keep a progress log that will track their growth in each exercise throughout the unit. Last, we performed static cool down stretches. Let's have another great day tomorrow.
