Circuit Training Unit
Circuit training is a form of body conditioning or resistance training using high-intensity exercises. Circuit Training targets the four fitness components: cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, muscular strength, flexibility. An exercise "circuit" is one completion of all prescribed exercises in the program. When one circuit is complete, one begins the first exercise again for the next circuit. Traditionally, the time between exercises in circuit training is short, there will be two phases, (Phase 1 & 2) both phases will comprise moderate to high intensity exercises. Students will complete a series of exercises that target the four fitness components, while focusing on proper technique, as well as gaining strength.
