Greetings PHS family, today in weight training we continued our Intro to Sports Physiology and Biomechanics Unit. We began our day with 2 laps on the track (cardiovascular endurance). Next, students performed our dynamic and static stretching routine focusing on stretching the hamstrings muscle. Today's workout focus was on the lower body. Students performed a series of exercises working their lower bodies and abdominal muscles. We ended our day with our cool down static stretches. Greetings PHS family, today in Weight Training we introduced the Sports Physiology and Biomechanics Unit. Students took the pre-test, and took notes on Sports Physiology and Biomechanics. Last, students wrote their 3 goals for the unit in their interactive journals. We will begin lifting weights using our progress logs for the unit. Let's have another great day tomorrow!
